2 Months Old!!
Reneé here - I thought it time I post something on Emma’s website.
Emma turned two months old this past Saturday on the 3rd – the time has gone by so quickly! See new photos below. She weighs 12 pounds and is 23 inches long, her eyes are still blue and her eyebrows have begun to fill in. She is smiling up a storm, has found her voice and is a chatterbox. She has discovered her hands, which she LOVES to suck on. No conscience giggles yet, but she does laugh and talk in her sleep, which is hysterical to witness. Can’t wait to see her smile at us and then giggle – we’ll be putty in her hands yet again!!
She hates her car seat, so going anywhere can be a challenge and sometimes stressful. We keep buying car seat toys hoping to find something that helps. I just ordered two new ones yesterday that we hope will do the trick. The crazy thing is, sometimes she is totally fine, and then all of the sudden she turns red and starts to scream and cry. I ride with her in the backseat to try and calm her down, which does not always help. I’m hoping she grows out of this phase soon.
I saw a photo of Jared when he was little on Thanksgiving and they look SO much alike. No question as to who her daddy is!
We are looking forward to Christmas. Emma will get to meet the rest of the family on Christmas Eve at Auntie Meryl and Uncle Denny’s house. She can be fussy around new people and voices, so we’ll see how things go. She is totally dialed in for holiday outfits between Nana Choo Choo (Jared’s mom Karen) and Grandma (my mom Elene). We will have several wardrobe changes I’m sure, for she does spit up, and there is no shortage of holiday outfits for her to wear on both Christmas Eve and Christmas day.
